STEVE'S BIKE - HONDA VTR1000
My bike is a Honda VTR1000 also known as a 'Firestorm'. It has a 90 degree 1000cc v twin engine that developes around 110bhp at 9000 rpm and is chain driven through a six speed gearbox.
My bike is more of a sports bike that a tourer so I might need some help getting off it at the end of ride !!! ( Nothing to do with age !!! )
Fuel stops on our trip will be based around the range of my bike as it only averages around 35 mpg so stops will be approximately every 100 miles to fill up.

KEITH'S BIKE - BMW R80/7
Built in 1978 and still going strong.
I have owned this bike since 1983 and completed many happy hours touring on it. This challenge being the biggest so far.
The bike is shaft driven, so no problems with chains!!!
The engine is a 800cc horizontally opposed twin and it is fitted with a BMW R100RS fairing for that added comfort.

PAUL'S BIKE - TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE
My bike is a 2007 model which has a 1050cc in-line 3 cylinder engine that produces 131bhp at 9250rpm.
As you can see from my picture on the left, it handles very well !!!
